Stop: 2 hours – Admission included
This tour takes us to the Altun Ha Maya Ruin. This ruin was once a trading center in this region and is the ruin at which one of Belize’s national treasures was found, the Jade Head. The best photo opportunities on this tour come after hiking to the tops of the highest structures where the Mayan elite once occupied which offers a panoramic view of this Mayan site as well as the surrounding pristine jungle.
Stop: 3 hours – Admission included
We start off this tour with cave tubing! The Maya thought that these caves led to Xibabla, an underworld ruled by the Maya death gods and their helpers in K’iche’ Maya mythology. Upon reaching the caves and the river, you can take a dip and admire the beauty of the rocks and cave entrance. After that we tube down the river and into the caves that contain art work and rock formations within. The zip lining area consists of ten platforms and seven runs. The longest run is over 600 feet and the highest run is over 150 feet. All equipment is provided and you are guided by two experienced guides for the entire tour. All you have to do is gear up and experience the thrill of flying through the Belizean forest! Transportation may be shared however your tour is private with your own guide.

A fun half day tour
My husband and I had a private tour with Jose as our guide! He took good care of us, communicated and confirmed all plans ahead of time by email. He was waiting for us when we arrived by ferry, was very professional yet casual and friendly. Jose was knowledgeable and proud of all the history he shared with us. We felt safe and in good hands with Edrick and Glen who took us ziplining through the jungle. We then climbed Altun Ha with Jose and walked the ruins while he explained the layout and purpose of the site. Jose later took us to a very good, local restaurant for a delightful chicken, rice and beans and salad lunch!

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time spending the day with Jose. He picked us up from our airBnB and then spent the whole day with us. He was so kind and really cared about the animals and Belize. Zip lining was amazing and so well built, you get to glide right over a gorgeous river!! The lunch we had at the zoo was a classic Belizean lunch and was delicious!!
